The Nowruz Retrospective Template
A Figma template with Nowruz theme, for your Spring retrospective session!
Nowruz is the Persian New Year celebrated at the start of spring in countries like Iran and parts of Central Asia. It marks a time of renewal and fresh starts. I’ve created a Nowruz-themed retrospective template to bring this sense of new beginnings into your team’s reflection sessions, making them more vibrant and refreshing.

Nowruz Retrospective Template
When your team needs a new spark of inspiration, why not try something different? Our Nowruz-themed template brings the excitement and traditions of the Persian New Year into your meetings. It’s more than just looking back and making plans. It’s about celebrating how far your team has come, recognizing your growth, and getting excited together about what’s next. This template uses special parts of Nowruz, like giving thanks, celebrating wins, setting goals, facing challenges, and building team spirit, to make your retrospectives more lively and inspiring.
- Sweeping Out the House (What was slowing us down or holding us back?): Drawing from the tradition of “khaneh tekani”, or spring cleaning, here we identify and plan to clear away any obstacles, inefficiencies, or negative attitudes that have hindered our progress.
- Planting Trees (What actions we want to take for the future?): Inspired by Nowruz’s emphasis on renewal and nature, this segment is about the new goals, projects, or initiatives we plan to cultivate for our growth and the betterment of our environment.
- Jumping Over Fire (The positive things we had): In the spirit of Chaharshanbe Suri, where people jump over fire to symbolize shedding negativity and illness while embracing warmth, energy, and positivity, this section reflects on the positive milestones, accomplishments, and learning experiences we’ve had.
- Haft-Seen Table (Compliments for the team member): Like the Haft-Seen, representing rebirth, health, happiness, prosperity, joy, patience, and beauty, this section is where we appreciate each team member’s unique contributions and virtues that have been crucial to our growth and success.
- Sizdah Bedar (How we can foster team bonding and resilience): As Sizdah Bedar is about spending time in nature to promote joy, health, and the warding off of ill omens, this new section can be dedicated to discussing strategies for strengthening team cohesion, maintaining a positive team spirit, and building resilience against future challenges
